CubeVi Gallops into the Year of the Horse with a Focus on OpenXR

Happy Lunar New Year! šŸŽŠ

This year marks the Year of the Horse—a symbol of strength, resilience, and forward momentum. I love the energy it brings, and I hope it’s off to a great start for you.

On our end, things have been a little quieter than usual this past week, as many of our team members are spending time with family and loved ones over the holidays. (Totally deserved—I’ve been savoring the chance to recharge a bit myself!) That said, we’re still making progress behind the scenes, and I wanted to share a quick update that I’m especially excited about.

Betting Big on OpenXR

We’re diving deep into aligning CubeVi with OpenXR and the broader developer ecosystem.

As someone who’s been building in the spatial computing space for years, I’ve seen how critical it is to build on open, collaborative foundations—not closed gardens. Here is why this matters:

  • Neutrality and Legitimacy: OpenXR is a standard built by industry leaders and developers, for developers.

  • Compatible by Design: Your creations will seamlessly work across various devices and platforms.

  • Community First: The developer community determines whether a platform lives or dies. We want to earn your trust, not lock you in.

  • Speed of Innovation: Open ecosystems encourage experimentation and iteration in ways walled gardens simply can’t.

Empowering Creators

It’s not just about adopting a standard. We’re also exploring how we can provide more direct support to developers—whether through better tools, documentation, or resources—so you can freely build, play, and bring your wildest ideas to life on our platform.

At the end of the day, CubeVi exists to empower creators. The more we can open doors for you, the more inspired I feel about what we’ll build together.
