Is Glasses-Free 3D Finally Here?
When people first see our hardware in action, the reaction is almost always the same: "Wait, is that actually 3D? Do I need glasses for this?"
It’s a fair question. For decades, we’ve been conditioned to think that 3D experiences require bulky plastic glasses or heavy VR headsets. At CubeVi, we’re changing that narrative.
The short answer: Yes, it is true 3D. And no, you don't need to wear a single thing on your head.
The Secret to Seeing Depth: Two Eyes, Two Images

To understand how our 3D Spatial Display works, you only need to understand two fundamental facts about human biology:
-
Fact 1: Humans see 3D because we have two eyes. In the physical world, an apple appears 3D because it reflects two slightly different versions of light to each of our eyes due to the distance between them.
-
Fact 2: All 3D technology is just trying to mimic that effect. The goal is always to shoot two different light paths into your eyes simultaneously.
Whether it’s a high-end cinema or a retro View-Master, the principle remains the same. CubeVi simply does it without the goggles.
How the CubeVi Spatial Display Achieves "Autostereoscopics"

If you’re a tech enthusiast, you might know this as autostereoscopics. For everyone else, think of it as "smart light."
In a traditional 3D movie, glasses act as a filter to make sure the left eye doesn't see the right eye's image. We’ve moved that filtering process from your face directly into the display hardware.
The Tech Breakdown:
-
Precision Eye-Tracking: We’ve installed two high-fidelity cameras at the top of the display. These cameras track the exact position of your eyes in real-time.
-
Guided Light Paths: Using that data, the CubeVi hardware calculates exactly where you are standing. It then guides the pixels to shoot out two different light paths to each of your eyes very precisely.
-
The Result: You see a seamless 3D effect, allowing you to play games or watch movies in total depth without any headgear.
What’s Next for Spatial Gaming and Video?

Seeing a 3D object floating in front of you is a "magic trick" moment, but the real power lies in what you can do with it. Whether you are a gamer looking for total immersion or a creator wanting to view 3D models in a natural environment, the applications for a Spatial Display are endless.
